About The Event

Come join us in Chicago, Illinois for a fun-filled and community-centered Worldschool Pop-Up:  September 3 - 10, 2022.

Our pop-ups provide a super casual, budget-friendly opportunity to gather together, connect with other worldschoolers, share your insights, instill new friendships, learn about the local area, and immerse in a friendly, accepting mobile community.

We've cherry-picked the best low- or no-cost activities that highlight local nature, arts, history, food, and culture....but you'll also have plenty of time to relax, get to know each other and even stray from the itinerary to add activities that cater to the group's interests (we provide plenty of supplemental ideas to tailor your experience).

Pop in for a few days or the full week. Join as many activities as you'd like. It's up to you! We would love to have you come and simply hang out with like-minded families while we dive in and explore the local offerings.

Our itinerary will include activities such as the following:

*Fireworks at Navy Pier

*Millennium Park

*Chicago's Jazz Festival

*Lincoln Park Zoo

*Riverwalk & Lakefront Trails

*Chicago Cultural Center

*Maggie Daley Park

LODGING and other information:

The majority of our activities will be in the following areas: Lincoln Park, Old Town, The Loop, & Streeterville. Chicago is well connected with public transport and parking garages are available for those who wish to drive. The host family is looking for lodging in Old Town which is centrally located to these neighborhoods. Please note, this event is held over Labor Day weekend, best to book accommodations early, or feel free to join after the holiday when the crowds drop off.

MEET YOUR HOST:

My name is Tabitha and I'm a wife of 20 years and a mom to 4 kids. We have a home base in Missouri, USA to be close to family but love to travel for periods of time. I have been traveling extensively with my kids for 6 years and my husband joins us on our journey as he is able to. Some of my favorite destinations include beautiful hikes, animals, and some sort of water to explore. We love the mountains and exploring everything they have to offer.

Fun Fact:  This will be Tabitha's second time hosting for the Worldschool Pop-Up Hub, and third pop-up overall.
