About The Event

Come join us in Madison, Wisconsin, for a fun-filled and community-centered worldschooling gathering August 13 - 20, 2022.

Our pop-ups provide a super casual, budget-friendly opportunity to gather together, connect with other worldschoolers, share your insights, instill new friendships, learn about the local area, and immerse in a friendly, accepting mobile community.

We've cherry-picked the best low- or no-cost activities that highlight local nature, arts, history, food, and culture....but you'll also have plenty of time to relax, get to know each other and even stray from the itinerary to add activities that cater to the group's interests (we provide plenty of supplemental ideas to tailor your experience).

Pop in for a few days or the full week. Join as many activities as you'd like. It's up to you! We would love to have you come and simply HANG OUT with like-minded families while we dive in and explore the local offerings.

Our itinerary will include activities such as the following:

*Visit Chazen Museum of Art

*Stroll the Dane County farmers market

*Picnic at Picnic Point

*Admire Olbrich Botanical Gardens

*Tour Cave of the Mounds

*Explore the Capitol Building

*Dig in at UW-Madison's Geology Museum

*Hike in the state parks

Add-on options include Concerts in the Park, visiting Wisconsin Dells, taking a day trip to Swiss town New Glarus, pontoon boat rides, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin, museums including Madison Children's Museum, and more!

COST per Family

$50 Early Bird Rate, expires May 1, 2022

$70 Regular Rates (solo parents receive a 25% discount, use code SOLO at checkout)

LODGING & NEIGHBORHOODS:

Many of our activities will take place in downtown Madison, staying downtown or on the near east or west sides is recommended. The host family will stay on the east side near Olbrich Gardens.

Camping and RV options: Multiple locations are available; we recommend William G. Lunney Lake Farm County Park (close to town) or Blue Mounds State Park (beautiful park, low mosquito count, but will entail more driving).
