MEET YOUR HOST:

Hello, I'm Charlotte. We are a small family of four (and that's including our beloved furry family member!). Our child, Phoenix is our youngest at 4 years old this year. Lilly, our dog, is a fun-loving a 5-year-old Springer Spaniel. Before Phoenix arrived, we travelled with Lilly whenever we liked. Now, things take a little more planning but, we have had some wonderful family trips so far.

We keep three home bases - Brighton UK, Chateau-d'Oex Switzerland, and (new this year) Monaco. Last year we did a 3-month road trip to and along the coast of Portugal, a month in Florida, and smaller trips to Paris, Ireland, and London. Aside from this we split our time between Brighton and Switzerland while working on getting a place in Monaco (we love to spend time there in the summer!)

While I haven't yet managed to make a pop-up meet (unfortunately timing hasn't been on our side for most pop-ups and places), I would LOVE to share some of our favourite places with like-minded families.

LODGING & NEIGHBORHOODS & TRANSPORT:

To be central for most of the activities, lodging in Chateau-d'Oex is recommended. The town is small enough to walk to local activities and has a train station to get to others. It also has more budget-friendly accommodation options compared to other nearby villages.

If you do not have a vehicle, stay within walking distance to a train station (trains are reliable and there are some that are tourist attractions themselves due to the views). If you stay between Les Moulins and Gstaad you will be within an easy 30-minutes of activities by either car or train.

The host family will be staying at Residence Rosat, Chateau-d'Oex.
