MEET YOUR HOST:

This pop-up will be hosted by Khrystyna. She moved to San Diego at 19 years old and has been in love with this city ever since. She's super familiar with the area and knows lots of amazing, off the beaten path places to share with other worldschoolers. A little more about her:

Who Am I? I am a woman, a wife, a mother (to a 3-year-old), a business owner, and so much more in between. Professionally, I have been a real estate broker. On the side, I've been leading women's self-empowerment events for over a decade in the San Diego area, such as transformational women's book clubs, mega networking events for businesswomen, self-love creative events, accountability groups, etc. I have also always loved to travel and once my husband and I met, I passed on the bug to him!

The reason we are doing this, even though we have fun traveling as a family, is because we ARE BETTER TOGETHER in a community. Creating the community circles we need, where we can share, and where our kids can play, learn, and connect... it's all we need to THRIVE.

LODGING & NEIGHBORHOODS:

San Diego is a large, sprawling city. To be centrally located for our pop-up, it's recommended to stay in the downtown San Diego neighborhoods (Downtown, Gaslamp, Little Italy, and Balboa Park areas with North Park and South Park a little farther away from our main activities). Mission Valley and Old Town areas are also excellent choices to be close to the action. As with any large city, read reviews to find safe areas for your family to stay. Try to avoid staying in East San Diego if possible.

For those coming in RVs and campers (or looking for cabins), San Diego Metro KOA Resort gets great reviews and is close to the downtown area.  Admiral Baker RV Campground (only for those with military service background) also has good reviews and is close to the action. Campland on the Bay is a bit farther to the north, it also has a marina for boating families.

TRANSPORT CONSIDERATIONS:

Trolley lines are available in downtown San Diego. Unfortunately, they don't go everywhere we'll be visiting. Renting a car is preferable, otherwise Ubers or taxis can fill in as necessary.
