Come join us in Sibiu, Romania for a fun-filled and community-centered worldschooling gathering June 13 - 19, 2025.

The Worldschool Pop-Up Hub provides super casual, budget-friendly opportunities to gather, connect with other worldschoolers, learn about the local area, instill new friendships, share your insights, and immerse in a friendly, accepting mobile community. Our activities highlight local nature, history, food, and culture... but you'll also have plenty of time to relax, get to know each other, and even stray from the itinerary to add activities that cater to the group's interests.

Pop in for a few days or the full week. Join as many activities as you'd like. It's up to you!

Our itinerary will include activities such as the following:

*Walk Sibiu's incredible old town with multiple plazas

*ASTRA National Museum Complex

*Climb up the old town walls and towers

*Zoo Sibiu

*Admire the local cathedrals and churches

*Sub Arini Park

*Brukenthal National Museum

*Art Museums

*Parks

*Town Squares and the Bridge of Lies

*Walk the Fortified Walls in Upper Town

*Enjoy the iconic "eye windows" in many of the rooftops

MEET YOUR HOST:

Rachel & family sold everything in 2014 and never have looked back. We've been completely nomadic since 2018, homeschooling our three children. Some of our favorite family travel destinations include Turkey, Romania, New Zealand, Spain, Uzbekistan and London. Our two younger kids will join the Pop-Up and will be 15 and 18 years old.

Our family visited Sibiu in March of 2023, and instantly fell in love with it. We're so excited to be visit again, this time with our worldschooling friends!!

We run the Worldschool Pop-Up Hub and love the people we get to meet from this venture. So far, we've personally hosted or co-hosted more than 30 events and have attended a handful more. Can't wait to invite you into our mobile communities.

LODGING & NEIGHBORHOODS & TRANSPORT:

Most of our activities will be held in and around the Historic Center, so we recommend staying there or in the Lower Town to be closest to our pop-up activities. Sibiu is a very walkable city plus Uber is available and there are some local bus routes. 

The host family will stay between the Historic Center & Lower Town.
