About The Event

Come join us in the St Petersburg / Pinellas Peninsula area for a fun-filled and community-centered worldschooling pop-up from May 8 - 16, 2022.

Our pop-ups provide a super casual, budget-friendly opportunity to gather together, connect with other worldschoolers, share your insights, instill new friendships, learn about the local area, and immerse in a friendly, accepting mobile community. We've cherry-picked the best low- or no-cost activities that highlight local nature, arts, history, food, and culture....but you'll also have plenty of time to relax, get to know each other and even stray from the itinerary to add activities that cater to the group's interests (we provide plenty of supplemental ideas to tailor your experience).

Pop in for a few days or the full week. Join as many activities as you'd like. It's up to you! We would love to have you come and simply HANG OUT with like-minded families while we dive in and explore the local offerings.

Our itinerary will include activities such as the following:

*St Pete's Pier

*Fort De Soto Park for history and beaches

*Ybor City

*Pinellas County Heritage Village

*Clearwater & Pass-a-Grille Beaches

*Tampa's Glazer Children's Museum

*Manatee Village Historical Park

*Manatee County Agricultural Museum

*Florida Botanical Gardens

*Boyd Hill Nature Preserve

*Spongeorama's Sponge Factory

*And lots of swimming, snorkeling and beach sunsets

Add-on options include fishing, boat rides, aquariums, museums such as the Salvador Dali or the John & Mable Ringling Museum or the Tampa Police Museum (there are so many museums), historic homes and the Tampa Bay CityPass discount ticket to 5 attractions...there's so much to explore!

COST per Family

$50/family early bird special, expires April 1, 2022

$70/family regular rates (25% discount for solo parents)

LODGING information:

A majority of our activities circle the lower portion of the Pinellas Peninsula making a path from Madeira Beach south to Ft De Soto Park and back northeast to St Petersburg. Families are encouraged to stay on the Pinellas Peninsula between St Petersburg and the Gulf coast.

Tampa and Bradenton are secondary options (we will have scheduled activities in each of those areas), but more driving will be involved overall. The host family will be staying in Madeira Beach. Camping and RV facilities are available at Ft De Soto Park: http://www.pinellascounty.org/park/camping.htm
